Articles for inclusion on the Lion & Pen home page must be written on the topic of fountain pens or related items.

The submissions of Articles must be entirely the original work of the author and include, where necessary, references to source materials. Any piece that uses previously published work by another pen collector, historian, reviewer or researcher without proper citation cannot be accepted.

Any submission that contains copyrighted work that is not properly cited may not appear as an article nor may any work appear as an article that contains the work of any person or persons otherwise banned from posting at Lion & Pen.

Administrators will review the submission and determine whether to publish it as an Article. We will then notify the author that the piece has been accepted as is, provisionally accepted upon author's completion of suggested revisions, or rejected outright. Should the author question the requested revisions we are happy to negotiate any differences but the Administrators reserve the final decision to publish or not.  Rejection does not prevent the member from posting the piece as a message in an appropriate forum. Once a submission has been accepted, the Administrators will conduct a final edit for length, clarity, grammar, spelling and style. The Administrators will submit this final edited version of the submission to the author for approval. If the author accepts this final version, it will be posted as an Article on the Lion & Pen home page. If not, we will follow the procedures as for revisions as outlined above. Photographs appearing in articles should not be greater than 72 dpi and should be sent in the size the author wishes them to appear. The final artistic layout of text and graphics for the article is done by the Administrators. In all cases, the decision of the Administrators is final.

We look forward to your submissions. We know that there are many of you who have important information to share in your heads and in your hearts. Please submit those for Articles on the home page.
